Communications Manager

Microsoft seeks a full-time Communications Manager for our Redmond, King County office to develop and tell the compelling stories of our innovations and their impact on the world.

About the Role

You'll join Microsoft's Communications team, where strategic storytelling drives how the world understands our company, products, and influence. In this role, you'll shape communications that position Microsoft as a leader in technology and artificial intelligence, working at the intersection of strategy, content development, and organizational culture.

What You'll Do

• Craft compelling narratives and communications strategies that build brand authority and engage diverse audiences
• Develop original content across channels that clearly articulate our innovations and societal contributions
• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging stories
• Strengthen internal communications and organizational culture through strategic messaging
• Stay informed on industry trends and thought leadership opportunities relevant to Microsoft's direction
• Coordinate communications efforts across multiple business units and regions

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, content strategy, or related field
• Exceptional writing ability and skill in simplifying complex, technical subject matter
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration experience
• Knowledge of digital communications, media relations, and content distribution strategies
• Interest in emerging technologies and their business implications
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or equivalent professional background
