About the Role
As Catering Lead at Panera, Flynn Group's Roanoke location, you'll oversee all aspects of our catering business—from prospecting and sales through flawless execution. Flynn Group, the 2nd largest Panera franchisee in the world, operates 140+ locations and continues to expand. This role is central to our catering growth strategy in the Roanoke, Roanoke County area.
What You'll Do
- Manage catering order intake, pricing, and fulfillment to meet client deadlines and quality standards
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate, event planning, and local business clients
- Lead catering team members to ensure consistent, high-quality preparation and delivery
- Coordinate logistics, inventory management, and production schedules for catering events
- Identify upsell opportunities and expand the catering customer base across Roanoke
- Monitor profitability and contribute to catering revenue targets
- Ensure food safety, presentation standards, and Panera brand consistency in all catering deliverables
What We're Looking For
- Experience in catering, food service management, or similar customer-facing leadership role
- Proven ability to manage multiple catering events and coordinate logistics
- Strong sales and business development mindset with existing client relationships a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to food quality and customer satisfaction
- Local knowledge of Roanoke, Roanoke County businesses and event industry is valuable
