Merchandiser

SAS Retail Services is hiring a full-time Merchandiser to manage in-store product displays and inventory execution across major retail locations throughout Smithtown, Suffolk County. This field-based position offers the opportunity to directly impact sales performance and brand visibility for leading consumer product companies.

About the Role

As a Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for maintaining optimal product presentation and availability across assigned retail environments. This hands-on position requires independent field work, problem-solving, and attention to detail to ensure retail locations meet brand and retailer standards every day.

What You'll Do

• Execute product arrangement layouts and shelf organization according to established brand standards and retailer guidelines
• Conduct store setup activities, including initial product placement and promotional resets
• Monitor on-shelf inventory levels and manage stock rotation to reduce out-of-stocks
• Install point-of-sale signage, promotional materials, and display fixtures
• Perform regular store audits to verify compliance with visual merchandising standards
• Record observations and complete field reports using mobile technology and handheld scanning devices
• Work with store management to address merchandising challenges and optimize product visibility

• Ability to work independently in retail environments with minimal direct supervision
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple store visits
• Comfort using handheld devices and mobile reporting systems
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift products, and work on ladder equipment as needed
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in visual merchandising execution
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with store teams
