Rent For Event LLC, LA is hiring a Production Manager for our Los Angeles headquarters. As a full-time Production Manager, you'll take the lead on coordinating, executing, and delivering exceptional audio-visual experiences for events across our nationwide client base.
About the Role
We're a nationwide AV production and rental company managing over 1,000 events annually. This Production Manager position places you at the center of our operations—overseeing on-site production coordination, managing equipment logistics, and ensuring every event runs flawlessly from setup through breakdown. You'll work directly with clients, internal teams, and field crews to solve problems in real time and maintain the high standards our clients depend on.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate production schedules, timelines, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent events
- Manage audio-visual equipment inventory, rental logistics, and delivery coordination
- Communicate directly with clients to understand event requirements, confirm specifications, and resolve questions
- Oversee on-site setup, technical operations, and breakdown for events of varying scale and complexity
- Supervise and direct production crew and rental teams during events
- Troubleshoot technical issues and equipment problems under time-sensitive conditions
- Document event details, gather client feedback, and maintain detailed records
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of production management, event coordination, or AV industry experience
- Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, equipment, and production workflows
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and teams simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Detail-oriented problem-solver who stays calm and focused under pressure
- Experience with production management software or event coordination tools
- Ability to lift, carry, and set up AV equipment; willingness to work on-site during events
