National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc. is seeking a Photography Intern to join our team in Washington, D.C., US for a full-time position. This is an opportunity to contribute to the 2027 Festival while building professional experience in visual storytelling and content creation for a mission-driven nonprofit organization.
About the Role
You'll work within our marketing and communications team, capturing and producing visual content that brings the Festival's events and mission to life. Based in our Washington, D.C. office, you'll gain hands-on experience in event photography, digital asset management, and collaborative creative production supporting one of the nation's most iconic seasonal celebrations.
What You'll Do
- Photograph Festival events, programming, and moments that showcase the beauty of the cherry blossoms and the international community gathering around them
- Edit, organize, and manage photography assets for use across the organization's marketing channels
- Contribute visual content to the organization's website, social media platforms, and published materials
- Partner with marketing and design colleagues to meet content production timelines and creative goals
- Support the documentation and archiving of Festival activities and community moments
