Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation seeks a School Psychologist Intern to join our Special Education Services team, providing comprehensive psychological support to students in grades K–12. This full-time, supervised internship begins in the 2026–2027 school year and offers hands-on experience in school psychology practice within a dynamic public school environment.
About the Role
As a School Psychologist Intern, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed school psychologist to develop practical expertise in all facets of school psychology. This internship bridges academic preparation with real-world practice, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to student mental health and educational success while building the competencies required for licensure and a career in school psychology.
What You'll Do
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments under supervisor guidance, including standardized testing and behavioral observation
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and special education planning
- Provide direct counseling and supportive interventions to students across grade levels
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators to address student academic and behavioral needs
- Contribute to crisis intervention and threat assessment responses when needed
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting on student outcomes and program effectiveness

- Enrollment in or recent completion of a master's degree program in school psychology or related psychology field
