About the Role
As a Server at The Inn at Swarthmore, you'll be the front line of our guest experience, managing dining room operations, taking orders, and ensuring every visitor leaves satisfied. You'll work directly with our kitchen and bar teams to coordinate seamless service from arrival through departure.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests warmly and seat them according to section management
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items and daily specials, and make recommendations
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar
- Deliver plates promptly and attentively, checking in on guest satisfaction throughout their meal
- Process payments, handle cash and card transactions, and manage table turnover
- Maintain cleanliness and proper table settings in the dining area
- Support other staff members to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Follow food safety and hospitality best practices consistently

- Previous experience serving in a restaurant or hospitality setting
