Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is hiring a full-time CT Technologist in The Colony, Denton County, to join our clinical imaging team on our night and weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7pm–7am).
About the Role
As a CT Technologist, you'll operate advanced computed tomography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that support physicians in delivering urgent and specialized cardiovascular and spine care. You'll work in a fast-paced hospital environment where precision, attention to detail, and patient safety are paramount. This role offers the chance to advance your technical expertise while contributing directly to patient outcomes in a dedicated specialty hospital setting.
What You'll Do
- Operate CT scanning equipment following established protocols and safety standards
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain scan protocols in clear, reassuring language
- Position patients correctly to ensure optimal image quality and minimize retakes
- Manage contrast administration when appropriate and monitor patient responses
- Maintain accurate, thorough records for all imaging studies performed
- Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and surgical teams to support diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment to minimize downtime
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT, or equivalent state licensure
- Proficiency in CT imaging protocols and anatomy
- Strong communication skills and compassion for patients, especially those in urgent or cardiac situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Reliability and flexibility to work nights and weekends consistently
- Experience in a hospital or specialty imaging center preferred
