Sierra Space is hiring a Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst III to join our Superior, Boulder County team. In this full-time role, you'll drive mission-critical scheduling and planning for our space systems and defense programs, requiring a top-secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
About the Role
As a Program Planning & Scheduling Analyst III at Sierra Space, you'll own the development, maintenance, and optimization of complex project schedules and timelines for advanced space and aerospace systems. This is a senior analyst position where you'll serve as a key planning resource for program managers, engineering teams, and executive leadership, ensuring our boldest missions stay on track and on budget.
What You'll Do
- Develop, baseline, and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools and methodologies
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and identify critical path drivers and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate scheduling requirements across engineering, manufacturing, test, and integration teams
- Track program milestones, perform earned value analysis, and report performance metrics to leadership
- Support resource planning and capacity analysis to optimize team allocation
- Identify schedule conflicts and recommend resolutions to program managers
- Maintain program baseline documentation and lead updates through formal change control
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, mathematics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in program planning, scheduling, or project management roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent scheduling software
- Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) principles
- Top-secret security clearance or ability to obtain one (required)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or mission-critical environments is highly valued
