About the Role

Teledyne Technologies is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to oversee the deployment, maintenance, and security of Linux-based systems across our Huntsville operations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to enabling technologies in high-reliability industrial markets while ensuring robust infrastructure supports mission-critical applications and research.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and operating systems across production and development environments
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and optimize reliability
• Manage user access, security patches, updates, and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
• Automate routine maintenance tasks and system administration processes using scripting and configuration management tools
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and infrastructure improvements
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes for knowledge management and regulatory compliance
• Respond to critical incidents and implement preventive measures to strengthen system resilience

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems in production environments
• Strong proficiency with Linux system administration tools, shell scripting, and command-line environments
• Knowledge of networking, storage systems, and infrastructure best practices
• Experience with system monitoring, logging, and security hardening
