About the Role
As an Instructional Assistant I with Murray ISD, you'll work directly with classroom teachers and students, helping to implement lessons and support academic progress across elementary grade levels. You'll be part of Morgan Elementary's instructional team, contributing to a positive school culture where every student can succeed.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct instructional support under teacher supervision and guidance
- Work with individual students and small groups on assigned academic tasks
- Help organize classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources
- Assist in implementing behavior support strategies that promote student success
- Support teachers during lessons, activities, and transitions throughout the day
- Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to classroom teachers
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment for all learners
- Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned by classroom teachers
