Avion Hospitality is hiring a Maintenance Engineer in College Station, Brazos County, to ensure our hospitality property's systems, equipment, and facilities operate reliably and safely. This full-time position offers the opportunity to take ownership of preventative maintenance and responsive repairs that keep guest experiences exceptional.
About the Role
You'll manage the mechanical and operational backbone of our property, handling everything from scheduled system inspections to urgent guest service calls. Your expertise in equipment maintenance and repair will directly impact guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, and you'll work both independently and collaboratively with the broader team to keep the property running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Execute routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facility systems
- Implement and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failures and extend system lifespan
- Address guest-submitted maintenance requests and work orders with prompt, professional service
- Diagnose system faults and mechanical issues, identifying root causes and executing effective solutions
- Document all maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance to maintain accurate facility records
- Perform work safely, including tasks at heights or in confined spaces, adhering to all safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and share technical knowledge
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing building systems and hospitality equipment
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills when interacting with guests, colleagues, and management
- Physical capability to lift, climb, work at heights, and perform tasks safely and efficiently
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
