Mentor Technical Group is seeking a Full-Time HVAC Technician to join our team in Durham, Durham County. This position offers the opportunity to work with a leader in life sciences engineering and technical solutions for the FDA-regulated industry.
About the Role
As an HVAC Technician with Mentor Technical Group, you'll maintain, repair, and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that support our facilities and operations. Your work will be vital to ensuring reliable climate control and meeting the exacting environmental requirements demanded by pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device operations.
What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and associated components
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on all climate control equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system problems efficiently
- Respond to maintenance requests and urgent service calls
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance
- Ensure all work meets applicable codes, standards, and company requirements
- Work collaboratively with facility management and engineering professionals
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience as an HVAC Technician or in a related maintenance role
- Valid HVAC certification or appropriate licensing for Durham, Durham County
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration principles
- Ability to read technical schematics and documentation
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
- Dedication to safety standards and regulatory compliance
