Slayden Constructors is hiring a full-time Construction Scheduler to support major water and wastewater infrastructure projects from our Salem, Marion County, Oregon office. You'll manage timelines and coordinate schedules for projects valued between $20 million and $500 million.
About the Role
The Construction Scheduler plays a vital planning role at Slayden Constructors Inc., a subsidiary of MWH Constructors, Inc. You'll develop and maintain schedules for large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects that serve regional communities. This position is based in Salem and may require periodic travel to project sites to ensure schedules align with on-site conditions and progress.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update master project schedules using construction management software
- Monitor schedule performance and identify potential delays or conflicts
- Coordinate scheduling requirements across project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Prepare progress reports and schedule variance analyses for project management
- Manage resource allocation and equipment mobilization timelines
- Track critical path activities and flag risks to project completion dates
- Participate in planning meetings and provide scheduling expertise to support decision-making
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Construction Scheduler or in a similar project planning role
- Expertise with construction scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
- Strong background in water, wastewater, or heavy civil construction projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects with tight deadlines
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to schedule accuracy
