Building Electrical Inspector

SAFEbuilt is hiring a Building Electrical Inspector to join our team in Firestone, Weld County, Colorado. In this full-time role, you will ensure that electrical installations and systems comply with applicable codes and safety standards on construction projects throughout the region.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations, wiring, panels, and systems on residential and commercial construction sites
• Verify compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and all applicable regulations
• Review electrical plans and permit applications for completeness and code adherence
• Perform final safety inspections and issue inspection reports with findings and recommendations
• Communicate inspection results and required corrections to contractors, developers, and property owners
• Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation for all reviewed projects
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve code violations and ensure timely project completion

Requirements

• Valid electrical license or substantial experience in electrical work and inspection
• Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code and Colorado building codes
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with contractors and property owners
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inspection documentation
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Physical ability to inspect work at various heights and job site conditions
