Working Foremen

J & J Excavating & Trucking is hiring a Working Foreman to lead operations at our Corvallis, Ravalli County location. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage excavation projects and direct a dedicated team in a fast-paced construction environment.

Position Summary

As a Working Foreman, you'll oversee daily operations across our job sites, blending hands-on expertise with supervisory leadership. You'll coordinate excavation and trucking services, manage crew performance, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. Your experience in the field combined with your ability to lead will be essential to our continued success.

What You'll Do

• Direct and supervise crew members on excavation, grading, and site preparation projects
• Coordinate equipment deployment and maintenance across active job sites
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and adherence to specifications
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a compliant work environment
• Communicate project status and challenges to management and clients
• Solve operational problems and adapt to changing site conditions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a foreman, crew leader, or similar supervisory role in excavation or construction
• Demonstrated knowledge of excavation techniques and heavy equipment operation
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate or coordinate heavy equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
