The Opportunity
This full-time driver position with Highland Park Community Development Corp offers an opportunity to play a vital role in our operations across the Canarsie and Flatlands communities. As our facility driver, you'll operate company vehicles safely and professionally, providing the reliable transportation that keeps our community programs running smoothly. Reporting to our Facility Manager and Director of Programs, this is a non-exempt, hourly role where safety, professionalism, and reliability are essential.
What You'll Do
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide dependable transportation for staff, participants, and materials to support facility and program operations in Canarsie and Flatlands
- Maintain vehicles in clean, presentable condition and perform routine inspections
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and transportation activities
- Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with all passengers and community members
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating vehicles safely and responsibly
- Familiarity with Brooklyn roadways and navigation in the Canarsie and Flatlands areas
- Strong punctuality and reliability
- Ability to maintain vehicle cleanliness and follow maintenance procedures
- Professional communication skills and a courteous demeanor
- Ability to work full-time hours as scheduled
