What This Role Involves

As a Field Inspector for Southern National Roofing, you'll conduct thorough inspections of roofing installations, materials, and workmanship across residential and commercial projects in the Charleston area. You'll assess job sites for quality compliance, safety adherence, and code requirements, then communicate findings clearly to management, crew leads, and clients. Your keen eye for detail and systematic approach ensure every project meets our standards before moving to the next phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-installation, in-progress, and post-completion roofing inspections
• Document findings through photos, measurements, and detailed written reports
• Verify material specifications, delivery, and proper storage on-site
• Monitor crew performance and adherence to safety protocols and building codes
• Identify defects, rework needs, or code violations and recommend corrective actions
• Communicate inspection results to project managers and clients promptly
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely issue resolution
• Maintain organized records and inspection documentation

Who We're Looking For

• Knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and industry codes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot quality issues quickly
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently at job sites and manage time effectively
• Physical capability to walk roof surfaces and access work areas safely
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn and improve processes continuously
