Operations Supervisor

Robert Half is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join its team in San Bruno, San Mateo County. This full-time contract role focuses on overseeing prototype operations, testing processes, and refurbishment workflows.

About the Role

In this position, you will help ensure that prototype testing and refurbishment activities run smoothly by coordinating contractor schedules, managing time-off requests, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. You will act as a point of contact for operational teams and support the day-to-day execution of technical projects.

What You'll Do

• Supervise daily operations related to prototype builds, testing cycles, and refurbishment tasks
• Create and adjust contractor schedules to meet project timelines and accommodate absences
• Monitor workflow progress and identify bottlenecks that could impact delivery
• Maintain accurate records of labor hours, equipment usage, and material consumption
• Enforce safety standards and housekeeping practices across the work area
• Prepare routine reports on performance metrics for management review
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and logistics staff to resolve issues quickly

• Proven experience supervising operations in a technical, manufacturing, or lab setting
• Strong organizational abilities with a track record of managing schedules and resources
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with contractors and internal teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data tracking tools
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus
