Abbott is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join its manufacturing team in Temecula, Riverside County, on a full‑time basis. In this role you will help ensure that medical devices and diagnostics meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.

About the Role

The Quality Engineer will partner with production, design, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement, support regulatory compliance, and maintain product quality throughout the lifecycle. This position is based onsite in Temecula and reports to the Quality Management supervisor.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute test protocols, inspections, and audits to verify conformity with specifications and standards.
  • Investigate non‑conformances, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain quality documentation, including batch records, deviation reports, and change control forms.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives by evaluating incoming materials and conducting vendor assessments.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, preparing evidence and responding to findings.
  • Train operators and technicians on quality procedures, GMP requirements, and data integrity practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and GMP principles applicable to medical devices or diagnostics.
  • Proficiency with statistical process control, root‑cause tools (e.g., 5‑why, fishbone), and quality management software.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to fostering a culture of quality.
