Retail Assistant Manager – Full-Time

Maurices is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager - Full-Time to lead the store team in Kansas City, Wyandotte County.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates, providing coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
• Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets through effective merchandising, promotional execution, and customer engagement.
• Ensure visual standards are met by maintaining floor sets, window displays, and product presentation according to brand guidelines.
• Manage inventory processes, including receiving, stock replenishment, cycle counts, and loss prevention initiatives.
• Handle opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and secure store operations in compliance with company policies.
• Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly, fostering loyalty and a positive store atmosphere.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members to build a capable and enthusiastic workforce.
• Analyze sales reports and operational metrics to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role, preferably in apparel or specialty fashion.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and communicate clearly with customers and peers.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals through effective merchandising and customer service.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with solid organizational abilities for managing inventory, schedules, and paperwork.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Passion for fashion and an understanding of inclusive sizing and trend‑driven assortments.
• Basic proficiency with retail technology platforms, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
