The OLLI Program Associate position at the University of Nebraska‑Lincoln in Lincoln, Lancaster County supports the delivery of lifelong learning opportunities for adult learners. As part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) team, the associate helps design and administer non‑credit courses that enrich the lives of mature adults in the Lincoln area. The position bridges academic resources with community interests, ensuring smooth operation of each learning offering.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the development of course calendars, including scheduling sessions, securing venues, and coordinating instructor availability.
  • Process participant registrations, maintain accurate enrollment records, and handle fee transactions.
  • Prepare program materials such as syllabi, handouts, and promotional content for distribution.
  • Communicate regularly with learners, instructors, and volunteers to answer questions and provide updates.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision to enhance program delivery.
  • Collect feedback from participants and instructors to evaluate effectiveness and inform future improvements.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to promote OLLI offerings through email, social media, and community outlets.
  • Maintain compliance with university policies and assist with reporting requirements for grants or accreditation.

What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, adult education, gerontology, or a closely related field.
  • Two to three years of experience planning and coordinating educational events such as courses, workshops, conferences, or seminars.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a lifelong learning or senior‑education environment.
  • Prior involvement with volunteer management or coordination.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and how they apply to program design.
