Oak Creek is seeking a full-time Expediter to join its team in Grafton, Ozaukee County.
About the Role
As an Expediter, you will be the vital link between the dining room and the kitchen, ensuring that every order moves smoothly from service staff to preparation and out to guests with accuracy and speed.
What You'll Do
- Monitor incoming tickets from waitstaff and communicate priority levels to the kitchen team
- Assist cooks with final plating, garnishing, and temperature checks before dishes leave the pass
- Verify that each order matches the ticket for accuracy, presentation, and proper temperature
- Deliver completed plates to servers in a timely manner to maintain fast, efficient service
- Identify and remove bottlenecks in the service flow, food prep lines, or dishwashing area
- Keep the expediting station organized, stocked with necessary supplies, and clean throughout the shift
- Support the kitchen during peak periods by helping with prep tasks or clearing space as needed
- Inspect the work area for cleanliness, safety, and adherence to quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a restaurant expeditor, runner, or similar front‑of‑house/kitchen liaison role
- Strong ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy service periods
- Excellent communication skills for clear coordination between servers, cooks, and management
- Attention to detail when checking food accuracy, presentation, and temperature
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Reliability, punctuality, and a team‑oriented mindset
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
