PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Production Machine Operator to join its team in Uptown, Marion County.
About the Role
This position supports a growing manufacturing operation where automated equipment runs continuously to produce components. The operator works on the floor, ensuring machines run smoothly, output meets quality standards, and any issues are addressed promptly.
What You'll Do
- Set up and start production machines according to work orders and specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance, making adjustments to maintain optimal run rates and product consistency.
- Conduct routine inspections, clean machinery, and perform basic preventive maintenance.
- Detect deviations in product dimensions or appearance and initiate corrective actions.
- Record production data, including output counts, downtime, and material usage, in required logs.
- Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and keep the work area organized.
- Collaborate with supervisors and maintenance staff to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical faults.
- Assist with material handling, loading raw components, and unloading finished parts.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation is a plus.
- Proven experience operating industrial or automated equipment in a production setting.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or setup sheets.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools for minor adjustments.
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering defect‑free output.
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and calculating production metrics.
- Reliability to work scheduled shifts consistently and willingness to obey attendance policies.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
