About the Role

As a Manager, Production you will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Irmo facility, coordinating schedules, monitoring performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that align with Sleep Number’s commitment to quality and innovation. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure production targets are met while maintaining a safe, engaging work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee all production shifts, assigning tasks and managing workforce productivity to meet output goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as yield, cycle time, and equipment utilization, implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies through regular audits and training.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to facilitate smooth material flow and product transitions.
  • Drive lean manufacturing practices, identifying waste reduction opportunities and leading process improvement projects.
  • Prepare production reports for senior leadership and participate in capacity planning and forecasting discussions.
  • Mentor supervisors and team leads, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and employee engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing production operations in a manufacturing setting, preferably within consumer goods or textiles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and drive performance improvements.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control methodologies.
  • Proficiency with production tracking systems, ERP software, and data‑analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a results‑oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred.
