About the Role
This full‑time role leads a team responsible for overseeing workforce development activities, ensuring programs run smoothly and meet state objectives. The supervisor supports the Division of Economic Security’s mission to strengthen Arizona families and communities through effective service delivery.
What You'll Do
- Direct daily operations of workforce staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring
- Develop and implement procedures that align with state policies and federal guidelines
- Monitor program metrics, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to enhance service quality
- Coordinate with community partners, advocacy groups, and other state agencies to align resources
- Provide coaching, training, and feedback to team members to foster professional growth
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, audits, and regulatory standards
- Address escalated issues and resolve conflicts in a timely manner
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience supervising staff in a public‑service or workforce‑development environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication abilities for interacting with internal teams, external partners, and the public
- Knowledge of Arizona state employment programs, regulations, and reporting processes
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and report generation software
- Capacity to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, public administration, or a related field is preferred
