Lancesoft INC is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (RN-L&D) to join their team in Sioux City, Woodbury County. This full‑time position focuses on providing high‑acuity obstetric care in a fast‑paced delivery environment.

About the Role

As an RN‑L&D you will work directly with expectant mothers throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The role requires proficiency with Epic EMR for accurate documentation and order entry, hands‑on experience in the circulating role, and familiarity with high‑risk obstetric cases. Prior scrub experience is valued, and a background that includes multiple travel nursing assignments is advantageous. Knowledge of the Epic STORK module for obstetrics is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, and recovery.
• Assist physicians and midwives with procedures, ensuring a sterile field and proper instrumentation.
• Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart tones, and labor progression, intervening when abnormalities arise.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Epic EMR system in real time.
• Educate patients and families about the birthing process, pain management options, and postpartum care.
• Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies, initiating resuscitation protocols as needed.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and laboratory staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Iowa (or eligibility for licensure).
• Minimum of two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EMR, including charting, medication administration, and order entry.
• Hands‑on experience as a circulating nurse in the labor and delivery suite.
• Prior scrub experience in the operating room is preferred but not required.
• A history of completing multiple travel nursing contracts, showing adaptability to varied clinical settings.
• Familiarity with the Epic STORK obstetrics module is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage high‑risk pregnancies, including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and multiple gestations.
• Recent experience (within the past 12 months) at a high‑volume facility averaging 200‑300 deliveries per month.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to commit to a full‑time schedule, including rotating shifts, weekends, and on‑call responsibilities as required by the facility.
