What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and cognitive assessments for inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address functional goals and promote independence.
• Provide therapy for a variety of disorders, including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, voice, and dysphagia.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and safe swallowing practices.

What We're Looking For

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Virginia state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) and ASHA CCC‑SLP certification.
• Experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting is preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical foundations are encouraged to apply.
• Solid knowledge of evidence‑based practices for neurogenic and pediatric communication disorders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
• Strong organizational abilities and comfort working with electronic health record systems.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
