About the Role

As a Med Tech you will work closely with nursing staff and caregivers to ensure residents receive their prescribed medications accurately and on time. The role blends clinical tasks with supportive caregiving, helping maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone in the community.

What You'll Do

• Administer oral, topical, and other routine medications according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document each medication administration accurately in the electronic health record, noting any observations or resident responses.
• Monitor residents for side effects, adverse reactions, or changes in condition and report concerns to the nursing team promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility when needed, supporting overall resident well‑being.
• Help maintain medication inventory, restock supplies, and ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with regulations.
• Participate in shift handover communications, providing clear updates on resident status and medication concerns.
• Support the resident activities program, encouraging engagement and social interaction.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies to protect residents and staff.

What We're Looking For

• Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or equivalent state‑approved Med Tech certification.
• Previous experience in a long‑term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex medication schedules accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient‑focused approach to resident care.
• Reliability and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
• Basic computer proficiency for entering data into electronic health record systems.
• Ability to lift and assist residents safely, adhering to proper body mechanics.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and adherence to state regulations governing medication administration.
