The Opportunity 

The Melbourne Independent Agency team—one of the fastest‑growing parts of our business—is looking for a Trading Specialist to strengthen and grow key client relationships. Working closely with Account Management and Business Development, the Trading teams plays a critical role in shaping strategic recommendations that drive client retention and business growth.  

You’ll be the platform expert clients rely on for campaign performance and pacing recommendations. You’ll get to know the Trade Desk’s platform inside and out and become a trusted consultant to your clients to drive the best performance.  

What You’ll Do 

  • Collaborate with both Account Management and Business Development teams to help drive performance and growth across your client portfolio 
  • Become an expert on our revolutionary new platform: Kokai 
  • Troubleshoot campaign setup and performance issues to ensure smooth delivery and optimal performance 
  • Provide thoughtful, actionable feedback to Product Managers to help shape and improve Kokai 
  • Ability to transform large data sets into clear insights and recommendations   
  • Present data, insights, and recommendations confidently to client stakeholders 
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients to understand their needs and drive business outcomes 
  • Support agency traders and planners to set up campaigns, optimise delivery, and ensure budgets are delivered while exceeding performance goals 
  • Serve as a platform expert who can consult and educate clients on new product updates, platform best practices, and broader industry developments 

What You Bring to the Table 

  • 3+ experience in digital advertising & client facing roles 
  • Technical background, ideally gained within a DSP, SSP, online publisher, agency, MarTech provider or other online advertising role    
  • Confidence managing client relationships and guiding stakeholders through performance conversations  
  • Strong ability to translate complex topics into clear explanations for agency and internal stakeholders  
  • Ability to transform large data sets into clear insights and recommendations  
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment 
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise client asks as well as long term projects 
  • High attention to detail & process-driven approach to delivering quality work 
  • A results‑driven approach, consistently looking for ways to improve performance and efficiency—including through the use of AI and emerging tools
