Position Summary
We’re seeking a full-time Buying Manager (official title: Buying Manager I) for our Los Angeles based corporate office. Lead product strategy and brand growth for SHEIN’s premium womenswear sub-brand(s) – Hauture. Within this role, you will be responsible for shaping the brand’s product direction from seasonal assortment planning to development, launch strategy, and performance review. Our ideal candidate brings strong fashion judgment, business acumen, and brand leadership experience, with the ability to turn trend and sales insights into commercially successful product assortments.
Job Responsibilities
- Define brand positioning, seasonal direction, and long-term product strategy in partnership with senior leadership.
- Lead assortment planning and product development for each launch, balancing trend relevance, brand consistency, and business goals.
- Manage development quotas and launch pacing to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and keep the brand responsive to emerging trends.
- Review product selections to ensure alignment with brand identity, quality standards, color strategy, and overall assortment needs.
- Analyze business performance, including CTR, CR, GMV, and category results, and adjust product and launch strategies accordingly.
- Partner with visual, studio, and merchandising teams to improve content performance and support stronger product storytelling.
- Mentor junior and mid-level buyers and establish clear processes and standards across the team.
- Manage supplier relationships and work closely with ODM partners to drive speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor fashion trends, customer demand, and market shifts, especially in the North American womenswear market, to identify growth opportunities.
Job Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in womenswear buying, merchandising, or product management.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a senior or strategic role.
- Strong fashion instinct and a clear understanding of elevated womenswear product.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability; able to use sales and performance data to guide decisions.
- Proven experience managing large, fast-moving product businesses in a high-growth environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Deep understanding of supplier management and global production workflows.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including to China, as needed.
- Comfortable using digital tools and systems to support product development, planning, and content performance.
- Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to improve both process and product outcomes.
