Title: Sr. Specialist, Accounting
Location: Queen Creek, AZ
Responsibilities:
- Internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions
- Preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
- Production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
- Tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return
- Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit
- Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Conduct thorough and timely Financial Audits
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or related field
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
Experience:
- 7+ years of accounting/finance experience
- Experience working at a large company preferred
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
Skills:
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
- MS Office Suite and ERP systems
- Management and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Collaboration skills
