About JetBrains

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started back in 2000, we have been striving to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.

About the team

The Commercial Programs team within the Business Development department supports JetBrains’ commercial growth and strategic initiatives. The team operates at the intersection of monetization and pricing strategy, industry and customer segment development, go-to-market, and cross-functional strategic project execution.

We work closely with the Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Data teams, as well as other stakeholders, to design and deliver programs that shape how JetBrains reaches and retains customers across markets and segments.

Role

As a Business Development Manager (Commercial Programs), you will identify and size business opportunities, drive cross-functional initiatives from idea to execution, and help design commercial programs that improve how JetBrains monetizes products and serves customers across segments and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze commercial performance data and market signals to identify and prioritize business opportunities and risks, and translate findings into clear, actionable outputs for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the development of new products and service offerings that enhance revenue and customer value.
  • Take ownership of cross-functional strategic projects from scoping through execution, coordinating across internal teams and ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support the design and rollout of commercial initiatives in close collaboration with stakeholders across the four core divisions (IDEs, JCP, Junie, and Kotlin) and other products, as well as the Sales, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Operations departments.
  • Contribute to pricing and monetization experiments – help structure hypotheses, define success metrics, track progress, and synthesize results into actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain project documentation, issue tracking, and status reporting to ensure transparency and accountability across workstreams.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Lead and other team members to align project priorities with the broader commercial strategy.
  • Facilitate communication between business functions and product or corporate teams, helping to resolve roadblocks and keep initiatives on track.
  • Contribute to the development of internal frameworks, guidelines, and best practices that improve how the team designs and executes commercial programs.
  • Provide internal expertise and advisory support to stakeholders across JetBrains, offering commercial analysis and recommendations on an ad hoc or project basis.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development, commercial strategy, management consulting, product strategy, revenue operations, or a similar role, ideally in B2B or SaaS.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with commercial and product data (Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools, SQL).
  • A proven track record of leading or driving cross-functional projects from scoping through execution.
  • A solid understanding of basic pricing, packaging, and monetization concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to structure complex topics clearly and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in software, developer tools, or technology companies is a strong advantage.
