Impact in this role:

The Logistics Specialist – US / Night Shift is responsible for supporting Fictiv’s US International Import logistics operations, including international courier shipment coordination through carriers such as UPS and FedEx, customs documentation review, carrier communication, import/export compliance support, and shipment tracking.

This role works closely with carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure timely shipment execution, efficient issue resolution, and high customer satisfaction while supporting US business operations during night shift hours.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinate international import courier shipments for U.S. operations through carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
  • Monitor shipment movement and resolve delivery delays, customs holds, and clearance-related issues.
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment execution.
  • Review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS classifications, and supporting customs documentation.
  • Follow up with carrier brokerage teams regarding entry corrections, duty-related issues, and shipment escalations.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve shipment and billing issues.
  • Maintain shipment tracking records, shipment visibility updates, and operational reporting.
  • Maintain and contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS).

Desired Traits

  • Over 5 years of progressive experience in international logistics, courier operations, and import/export coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Commerce, Foreign Trade, Customs Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of customs clearance processes, import/export documentation, trade compliance requirements, and international shipping operations.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience handling international air and ocean import shipments.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, shipment visibility improvements, and logistics cost optimization.
  • Analyze U.S. import shipment timelines, customs clearance activities, and on-time delivery performance to enhance overall logistics efficiency and shipment visibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, shipment tracking systems, and logistics reporting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams while supporting U.S. night shift operations.
  • Ability to work in US night shift hours supporting global logistics operations.
  • Must be able to maintain sustained focus and responsiveness while handling time-sensitive shipment activities and customer delivery deadlines.
  • Capability to manage multiple shipment priorities effectively in a fast-paced logistics operations environment.
  • Ability to effectively address shipment escalations and customs clearance-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong attention to detail while reviewing shipment documentation, tracking updates, and operational records
