About the Role
As a part-time Cashier at Runnings in Mandan, you'll be the friendly face at our front-end operations. You'll process transactions, handle cash and payment methods, and create positive first and last impressions for every customer who walks through our doors. This is a customer-facing position that requires flexibility with evening and weekend shifts to support our busiest store hours.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers as they enter the store and provide assistance when needed
- Operate the register with speed and accuracy, processing sales transactions
- Handle cash, debit, credit, and other payment methods securely
- Bag purchases and ensure a smooth checkout experience
- Answer customer questions about products and store policies
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area throughout your shift
- Follow all company and retail compliance standards
- Work collaboratively with the store team to keep operations running smoothly
What We're Looking For
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for evening and weekend availability
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and stay organized under pressure
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Professional communication and a positive attitude
- Willingness to follow company procedures and learn store systems
- Previous retail or cashier experience is helpful but not required
