About the Role

As an Environmental Services Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our medical facility. Working under the direction of the Director of Environmental Services, Building Services Manager, or Lead Environmental Technician, you'll perform specialized cleaning operations and general housekeeping duties that directly impact patient safety and facility operations.

What You'll Do

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, surgical areas, laboratories, and common spaces according to established protocols
  • Perform specialized cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents
  • Maintain and operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow infection control and safety standards to prevent cross-contamination
  • Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintenance needs throughout the facility
  • Empty and dispose of waste in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Report maintenance issues and equipment concerns to supervisors

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly
  • Ability to follow written instructions and verbal directions reliably
  • Physical ability to perform demanding housekeeping duties, including standing, bending, and lifting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough cleaning
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to healthcare facility standards
