Service Technician

Findlay Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Post Falls is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing service department in Post Falls, Kootenai County. This is a full-time position where skilled technicians thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you'll perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles. You'll use sophisticated diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, execute complex repairs across multiple vehicle systems, and maintain the high standards of quality and safety our customers expect. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse vehicles and continuously develop your technical expertise in a collaborative shop environment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, braking, suspension, and climate control systems
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and service procedures
• Interpret technical service bulletins, service manuals, and diagnostic test results
• Document all work completed and communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors and customers
• Collaborate with the service team to manage workflow, prioritize customer vehicles, and meet service schedules
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and compliance guidelines
• Keep current with automotive technology and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• Mid-level to highly experienced automotive service technician with a solid background in vehicle repair
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems
• ASE certification or equivalent hands-on technical qualifications
• Proficiency using computerized diagnostic equipment and manufacturer platforms
• Experience with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM vehicles is preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-volume service environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license
