People Creating Success is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional and Personal Attendant in Isla Vista, Santa Barbara County. This role supports adults with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence, engagement, and quality of life in their daily routines and community involvement.
About the Role
As a Personal Attendant and Direct Support Professional, you'll be a trusted member of the care team, working directly with individuals to build meaningful relationships while supporting their health, safety, and personal development. This is hands-on, people-focused work for someone who finds purpose in direct impact.
What You'll Do
- Assist with activities of daily living including meals, personal hygiene, and home maintenance as needed
- Support participation in community activities, outings, and social engagement
- Provide transportation to appointments, recreational activities, and local events
- Help individuals build skills for independent living and decision-making
- Monitor and report on health, wellness, and behavioral observations
- Document activities and progress per agency guidelines
- Respond with flexibility to individual needs and preferences
What We're Looking For

- Reliable transportation and valid California driver's license
- Ability to communicate clearly and listen actively to individuals and team members

- Background check clearance required
