About the Role
CBRE's Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in the Engineering and Technical Services team, ensuring buildings operate safely and efficiently. You'll provide proactive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment problems, and perform repairs that keep our properties in top condition. This position demands both technical skill and reliability—you'll be the skilled professional property managers and tenants depend on.
What You'll Do
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs with professional, timely solutions
- Inspect building equipment and systems, identifying issues before they become costly problems
- Perform general repairs, replacements, and upkeep to maintain property standards
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in tracking systems
- Adhere to safety protocols and building code requirements during all work
- Collaborate with property managers and other team members to prioritize work orders
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical knowledge of building systems, preferably demonstrated through experience or relevant certifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including climbing, lifting, and working in various environments
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and respond to direction
- Valid driver's license preferred
