J.E. Dunn Construction Company is hiring a Traveling General Superintendent to lead aviation construction projects across multiple locations, based in Tampa, Hillsborough County. This is a Full Time opportunity for an experienced construction leader ready to manage complex aviation facility projects nationwide.
About the Role
As a Traveling General Superintendent in Aviation construction, you'll take ownership of on-site leadership for major aviation projects. You'll manage crews, coordinate trades, ensure safety, and drive projects to completion on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations and field management for aviation projects
- Direct and manage construction crews and subcontractors
- Maintain strict safety standards and regulatory compliance on all sites
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Conduct quality control inspections and manage deficiency resolution
- Coordinate between project teams, architects, engineers, and clients
- Travel to project sites across the United States as needed
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a General Superintendent with aviation or commercial construction projects
- Strong track record managing large, complex construction operations
- Deep knowledge of construction safety, OSHA compliance, and industry best practices
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse field teams
- Comfort with frequent travel to multiple job sites
- Strong problem-solving abilities in fast-paced construction environments
