Security Guard Officer

Security Guard Services is now hiring a full-time Security Guard Officer based in Yorba Linda, Orange County. In this role, you'll be responsible for protecting clients' facilities and personnel by maintaining vigilant surveillance, enforcing access controls, and responding quickly to security incidents.

About the Role

As our Security Guard Officer, you'll be the hands-on protector of assigned properties throughout the Yorba Linda region. Your work will combine constant awareness, sound judgment, and professional communication to prevent security breaches, detect threats early, and keep people and assets safe every day.

What You'll Do

• Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned properties to detect unauthorized activity and identify security gaps
• Monitor surveillance camera systems and security panels to observe premises in real time and respond to anomalies
• Inspect all entry and exit points, perimeter fencing, doors, windows, and structural weaknesses to verify security measures
• Control access by checking credentials, managing visitor registration, and restricting entry to authorized personnel only
• Activate alarm systems and coordinate with emergency responders when security incidents occur
• Document all suspicious observations, incidents, and policy violations in detailed incident reports
• Communicate security policies and rules clearly to visitors, contractors, and occupants who are out of compliance
• Prevent losses and minimize property damage through attentive observation and prompt notification to supervisors

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid California security guard license or the ability to obtain one
• Professional appearance, strong verbal communication skills, and sound decision-making ability
• Physical capability to patrol grounds and stand for extended periods
• Detail-oriented mindset with commitment to following procedures and company policies
• Availability to work full-time hours, including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
