Traveling Property Manager

DTN Management is hiring a Traveling Property Manager to join our operations team in East Lansing, Ingham County. This full-time role offers the opportunity to manage multiple multifamily residential properties while working directly with our Area Director at one of Michigan's most respected real estate development and management firms.

About the Role

As a Traveling Property Manager with DTN Management, you'll oversee daily operations across assigned residential communities in the East Lansing area and surrounding region. You'll serve as the on-site leader ensuring properties meet our high standards for maintenance, tenant satisfaction, and operational excellence. This position requires regular travel between properties and direct collaboration with our development and operations teams.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations across multiple multifamily properties
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely completion of repairs and upkeep
• Handle lease administration, tenant communications, and resolve operational issues promptly
• Monitor budgets, track expenses, and report financial metrics to the Area Director
• Ensure properties remain safe, compliant, and positioned to deliver exceptional resident experiences
• Coordinate with the development team on property improvements and capital projects

• Proven experience managing multifamily residential properties or similar real estate operations
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple properties and priorities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to travel regularly between assigned properties
• Knowledge of property management systems, compliance standards, and maintenance best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
