What You'll Do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in animal science, delivering engaging, rigorous instruction that prepares students for careers in animal agriculture, research, and related industries
• Develop and lead a research program aligned with your expertise and departmental priorities, securing external funding and publishing findings in peer-reviewed outlets
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students through independent research projects and academic advising
• Participate actively in departmental committees, professional organizations, and outreach initiatives serving the North Carolina agricultural community
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance program quality and student success

What We're Looking For

• A terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Animal Science or a closely related discipline
• Strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Research experience and demonstrated ability to develop independent, funded research programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dedication to service, mentoring, and diversity in higher education
