About the Role
The Michigan State Police Explorer Program is an intensive educational initiative designed to give motivated individuals hands-on exposure to law enforcement as a career path. Participants work directly alongside Michigan State Police troopers and department members who provide training, guidance, and real-world mentoring to help you understand what a modern policing career involves.
What You'll Do
- Participate in structured training sessions led by Michigan State Police personnel
- Shadow troopers and observe law enforcement operations firsthand
- Serve your community through police-related activities and civic engagement
- Develop professional skills essential to law enforcement careers
- Build relationships with mentors and peers committed to public service
- Learn about investigation, patrol, emergency response, and community policing
