Vigilant Protection Services is hiring a full-time Armed Private Event Security professional to work weekends throughout El Paso, El Paso County. This is your opportunity to join a dedicated protection team and make a direct impact on client safety and event success.
About the Role
As an armed private security professional, you'll be the frontline guardian for our clients' events, facilities, and premises. Weekend-only scheduling lets you commit fully to your other professional or personal goals while building a meaningful career in event security. You'll work with a team that values alertness, professionalism, and the ability to think clearly under pressure.
What You'll Do
- Monitor events, venues, and client properties to create and maintain a secure, controlled environment
- Assess situations quickly and respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or security concerns
- Enforce property access rules and patron conduct standards consistently and professionally
- Deter threats and unauthorized activities through visible, competent presence
- Conduct patrols and surveillance during assigned shifts
- Document incidents and maintain detailed security reports
- Coordinate with law enforcement and other personnel when necessary
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and event staff
What We're Looking For
- Valid Level 3 Armed Security License (Texas requirement)
- Proven experience in armed or unarmed security roles
- Excellent observational and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliability and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and respond to situations
- Clean background check and valid ID
