Senior Paralegal

Modern Family Law seeks an experienced Senior Paralegal for our University Park, Dallas office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support complex family law matters while working directly with our legal team and clients in our Dallas-based practice.

About the Role

As a Senior Paralegal with Modern Family Law, you'll be instrumental in delivering high-quality legal services across our family law practice. You'll manage case files, coordinate with clients and opposing counsel, and support attorneys through every stage of family law proceedings—from initial consultations through resolution. This role demands both technical legal knowledge and strong interpersonal skills, as you'll serve as a bridge between our legal team and the families we represent.

What You'll Do

• Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and motions for family law cases including divorce, custody, support, and asset division matters
• Coordinate case schedules, discovery deadlines, and court filings to ensure timely and accurate submissions
• Communicate with clients regarding case status, required documentation, and next steps in their legal matter
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation to support attorney work product
• Maintain organized case files and manage confidential client information with attention to detail
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to streamline operations and maintain service excellence

What We're Looking For

• Proven paralegal experience in family law, with demonstrated expertise in handling domestic relations cases
• Strong command of legal writing, document preparation, and Texas family law procedures
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases with competing deadlines
• Professional demeanor and genuine commitment to client advocacy and service
• Proficiency with legal software, case management systems, and standard office applications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining independence and initiative
