Insight Global is building a fiber splicing team in Impact, Taylor County, and we're looking for experienced Fiber Splicers to join us in this long-term initiative. About the Role

As a Fiber Splicer with Insight Global, you'll be a core member of a growing team establishing fiber optics capabilities in Impact, Taylor County. This position combines precision technical work with the opportunity to expand your skills across real-world projects. While based locally in the Impact area, the role includes travel to other locations for short-term assignments, supported by our mobile fiber splicing lab—a major advantage for career growth and variety in your daily work.

What You'll Do

• Perform precision fiber splicing on single-mode and multi-mode optical fibers using industry-standard equipment
• Test and inspect splice points to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain fiber splicing tools and measurement devices
• Document splice locations, test results, and work procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
• Participate in fiber installation and termination work as project needs require
• Travel to job sites within and outside the Impact, Taylor County area for on-site assignments
• Contribute to building and training the fiber splicing team as it expands
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and best practices

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience with fiber splicing, fiber optics installation, or related field work
• Solid understanding of optical fiber technology and industry standards
• Strong ability to perform detailed, precision technical work
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally and locally as assignments require
• Dependable work ethic, strong safety awareness, and professional reliability
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• High school diploma or GED (technical training or fiber optics certifications preferred)
