The Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium is hiring a Paraprofessional to support general education at an elementary school in the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place area. About the Role
As an Elementary Paraprofessional in general education, you'll work closely with classroom teachers to support instruction and create an inclusive learning environment. This educational support role is key to helping all students succeed.
What You'll Do
- Support teachers with general education instruction and classroom activities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support to students
- Reinforce learning objectives and help students practice skills
- Assist with classroom management and behavioral support
- Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to supporting elementary-aged students and their academic growth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a school team
- Patience, reliability, and flexibility with classroom needs
- Willingness to follow school procedures and support positive student behavior
