About the Role
As a Retail Security Officer, you'll be the visible face of security for Crabtree Valley Mall. Your primary responsibility is to deter theft, prevent unauthorized access, and respond swiftly to any incidents that arise. You'll work from our Crabtree Valley location, monitoring the mall and its immediate surroundings during your assigned shifts.
What You'll Do
- Patrol the mall facility and grounds systematically, remaining alert to suspicious activity and environmental hazards
- Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and managing entry and exit to restricted areas
- Document all incidents, violations, and observations in detailed written reports
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and security concerns with professional judgment and appropriate action
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and fire departments when necessary, serving as the primary point of contact
- Build positive relationships with mall customers, vendors, and staff to foster a secure, professional atmosphere
- Maintain appearance, uniform, and conduct that reflects the professionalism expected of Andy Frain Services
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid security officer certification or ability to obtain one
- Excellent observation and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure
- Strong understanding of loss prevention and retail security principles
- Availability to work full-time schedules, including potential evenings and weekends
- Professional demeanor and genuine commitment to customer service
