Practice Manager I – Eye Doctors- Old Saybrook

Keplr Vision is seeking a full-time Practice Manager I to lead day-to-day operations at our Old Saybrook, Middlesex County eye care practice. This is an ideal opportunity for an organized, patient-focused leader to grow into a management role in optometry or ophthalmology.

About the Role

The Practice Manager I serves as a key operational leader, ensuring every patient receives exceptional eye care while maintaining efficient clinical and administrative workflows. You'll work directly with the clinical team and practice leadership to achieve service excellence, resolve day-to-day challenges, and foster a positive workplace culture.

What You'll Do

• Supervise front desk, clinical support, and administrative staff; provide coaching and clear direction to support team performance
• Coordinate patient scheduling and workflow to optimize appointment availability and minimize wait times
• Address patient concerns and resolve complaints promptly and professionally
• Handle employee relations, including attendance issues, performance feedback, and workplace conflict resolution
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and office equipment maintenance
• Support compliance with health care regulations, safety protocols, and practice policies
• Assist with financial tracking, billing inquiries, and practice metrics
• Contribute to process improvements and quality assurance initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in practice management, office administration, or related supervisory role
• Experience in a medical, dental, or healthcare practice environment strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively, and remain calm under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfort working with diverse patient populations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with practice management software
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and respond to feedback constructively
